550. Deputy Jennifer Whitmore asked the Minister for Education for an update on the extension for a school (details supplied); when it is anticipated that planning permission will be sought; the timeframe for completion of the project; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [48639/23]
View answerThe school referred to by the Deputy has been approved for a project under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme.
A Stage 1 report was received by my Department in Q1 2023, this was reviewed and a request for additional information was issued to the school authority. My Department are currently still awaiting this requested information.
As the project is at an early stage, it is not possible to provide a current timeframe for the application of planning permission or the completion of the project.
My Department will offer any assistance needed to the school to progress this project.
