127. Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Finance the number of cars for which capital allowances were claimed under the 2008 emissions-based scheme for each of the VRT categories for the year 2022, in tabular form. [50398/23]
View answerI am advised by Revenue that capital allowances claimed in respect of the purchase of motor cars for business use are aggregated with other Plant and Machinery items on the relevant tax returns. Therefore, Revenue does not have the necessary data to enable it to identify the number or category of vehicles to which the claims relate.
