Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the current status of negotiations with the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (details supplied); when an agreement can be expected on the co-funding of an urgently needed new vet school located in the mid-west at the University of Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is continuing its engagement with the Department of Further and Higher Education Research Innovation and Science on the question of possible additional veterinary student places. No decision has been reached on this matter or on the matter of any new veterinary education facility.
