Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform the total number of Freedom of Information requests submitted to his Department in 2022 and to date in 2023; the total number of such requests that were rejected in their entirety; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the table below.  The table separately details requests that were refused as records were not held in my Department which were transferred to other FOI Bodies where to the knowledge of my Department records would be likely to be held.  The Deputy may wish to note that a number of FOI requests for 2023 are currently in the decision making stage, so a final decision is pending.
