Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Justice when it was agreed to permit Israeli security personnel to be located on the premises of Dublin Airport in order to screen passengers intending to travel on El Al flights from Dublin to Tel Aviv; if similar arrangements are in place for any other sovereign nations’ security or intelligence personnel in addition to those of the United States; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Matters of aviation security are agreed between the Airport Operator and An Garda Síochána. The Deputy will appreciate that for sound security reasons, it is not the policy to comment on specific arrangements in place for individual air carriers.
