The Department of Transport has utilised advertising on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and X (formerly Twitter) to support information and communication campaigns.

The Department has not placed paid advertisements on X since early 2023. The Department keeps all forms of communication to the public, including social media advertising, under consistent review in order to maximise effectiveness.

The Department’s social media policy is published online here.
