View answerThe Terms and Conditions for my Department’s agri-environment scheme, ACRES, clearly state that applications may only be submitted by advisors in respect of active herd numbers. When a herd owner is deceased, their herd number is categorised in the “Reps of” and is end-dated or inactive. This status remains until the transfer process is complete. The matter of obtaining Grant of Probate is a process that is outside the control of my Department.
