50. Deputy Patricia Ryan asked the Minister for Transport if he will provide, in tabular form, the number of taxi licences issued to non-national drivers in the years 2020, 2021, 2022 and to date in 2023. [54013/23]
View answerThe regulation of the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry, including setting the criteria for obtaining a taxi licence, is a matter for the independent transport regulator, the National Transport Authority (NTA). In addition, the NTA is responsible for the collection and publication of statistics relating to SPSV licensing. I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of the SPSV industry.
