Durkan asked the Minister for Justice to indicate if she will review the refusal to allow further consideration of the admission under the regularisation of long term undocumented migrant scheme for a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerAn application under the Regularisation of Long Term Undocumented Migrants Scheme by the person referred to by the Deputy was refused on 27 February 2023.
An appeal of this decision was also refused on 25 September 2023.
In response to a notification pursuant to the provisions of Section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999 (as amended), written representations have been submitted on behalf of the person concerned.
These representations, together with all other information and documentation on file, will be fully considered, under Section 3 (6) of the Immigration Act 1999 (as amended) and all other applicable legislation, in advance of a final decision being made. These cases are amongst many to be considered at present and, as such, it is not possible to provide a specific indication as to when the cases will be finalised.
Queries in relation to the status of individual immigration cases may be made directly to my Department by e-mail using the Oireachtas Mail facility (inisoireachtasmail@justice.ie), which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Questions process.
