Deputy Alan Dillon asked the Minister for Education if she will provide additional funding for the science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning grant for schools, in which there has been a high level of interest and applications made prior to the 30 November 2023 deadline; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that it is not possible to commit to a date or a new round of funding at this time. As the Deputy will be aware, any future funding is contingent on the budgetary resources available to the Department and the priorities and demands relating to the budget.
