Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform the current status of the State data centre project; how will it proceed with being connected to the grid, given its location within a constrained section of the grid; and whether the project might be delayed as a result; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The construction of the Data Centre is underway and is on time and within budget. The construction of the building is expected to be completed by Q2 2025. The application for the electrical supply was issued and accepted by ESB networks before any moratoriums were introduced. No delays are expected.
