54. Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Health if he will provide an update on the progression and timeline for the appointment of the members of the commission on care for older people; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9516/24]
View answerOn 14 December 2023 Minister Donnelly and I announced the appointment of Professor Alan Barrett, Chief Executive of the Economic and Social Research Institute, as Chairperson of the Commission. I am pleased to advise the Deputy that the process for appointing the other members of the Commission is currently being finalised.
