Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if the National Parks and Wildlife service will provide a county-by-county breakdown of the number of applications in 2023 for permission to burn in designated natura lands obtained through the Activities Requiring Consent system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Following consultation with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) of my Department, the following relevant ARC applications were received in 2023 seeking permission to burn:

• Galway: 1 application received and consent issued

• Kerry: 1 application received late 2023, consent issued 2024.
