Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to provide an update on Tusla’s Residential Childcare Strategy, launched in January 2022; the targets for the introduction of 31 voluntary beds in the first two years of the strategy (2022 and 2023) and an additional 79 places by the statutory and voluntary providers during the lifetime of the strategy; and if he will detail the number of beds/places introduced in the voluntary and statutory providers since the strategy was launched.
