Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Justice how many individuals released on licence in the UK have returned to Ireland during their licence period in the past five years; whether these individuals have been provided with any supervision, support or any other form of engagement by the Probation Service; whether any consideration has been given to entering into a formal agreement with the probation services of England and Wales to facilitate the transfer of post release supervision between the two jurisdictions, similar that with Northern Ireland; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
