Deputy Richard Bruton asked the Minister for Health if the NTPF has set out an activity plan for 2024 setting out the outpatient appointments, inpatient procedures and diagnostic evaluations and scopes that will be carried out in the course of the year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) has been allocated a total budget of €179 million for 2024.

With this budget the NTPF aims to deliver 110,000 Outpatient appointments, 35,000 Inpatient/Daycase procedures, 18,500 GI Scopes and will authorise 70,000 diagnostic evaluations (EDANS).
