Deputy Paul Donnelly asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the number of electrical, plumbing, stone laying and carpentry apprenticeships respectively waiting to progress their off-the-job training in phase 2, phase 4 and phase 6 respectively across SOLAS, in tabular form. The number of Electrical, Plumbing, Stonelaying and Carpentry apprentices currently waiting to progress their off-the-job training in Phases 2, 4 and 6 is in tabular form below, as requested.

The figures are the latest recorded- March 31, 2024. The table is divided into those waiting 0-5 months and 6+ months for each phase, as well as overall totals. Those waiting 6+ months are considered to be the backlog.
