Deputy Jennifer Whitmore asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide a copy of the Members’ Agreement entered into, on or about the date of 11 November 2021, between three organisations (details supplied), including any subsequent amendments to that agreement; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI would like to ask the Deputy to directly contact the organisations named in the question in relation to any specific information sought.
The organisations named are private entities, including a State Body. As this State Body was established as a private commercial company under the Forestry Act, 1988, day-to-day operational matters, such as partnership agreements, are the responsibility of the company.
I can, however, confirm that my colleague, Minister Hackett, together with the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform at the time, gave consent for the State Body’s involvement in this initiative in October 2021.
