210. Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide the claims on, and settlements made by, the State Claims Agency in each year since 2011, broken down by category; the amount and percentage of total cost of settlements spent on legal fees, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In responding to the Deputy's question the NTMA have informed me that the information contained within the table at the link below was extracted from the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

The NTMA notes that claims numbers may differ slightly from previous reports due to claim reclassifications in the intervening period and that coverage does not include Property Damage Recovery Claims, which are claims to recover money back on property damage that was not the state’s fault.
