5. Deputy Patrick Costello asked the Taoiseach the number of times the Cabinet Committee on Northern Ireland has met in each year of this Dáil Éireann term. [18323/24]

The Cabinet Committee on Northern Ireland was established on 10 April 2024 to oversee implementation of Programme for Government commitments regarding Northern Ireland, and ongoing related developments.

A previous Cabinet Committee on Brexit and Northern Ireland met four times since June 2020, on the following dates:

• 29th October 2020

• 4th March 2021

• 27th June 2022

• 23rd November 2023

A date for the next meeting remains under consideration.

Issues related to Northern Ireland are also discussed at Cabinet on a regular basis.
