My Department provides financial support to local authority efforts to tackle litter through the Anti-Litter & Anti-Graffiti Awareness Grant Scheme. In 2023 €750,000 was made available under the Scheme. Approximately €713,000, or 95% of the total amount available, was actually drawn down by the various local authorities in 2023. Funding for 2024 has been maintained at 2023 levels.
