Finance Committee meeting to scrutinise Fossil Fuel Divestment Bill 2016 – Private Members Bill

The Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Tuesday 27 June at 4pm in Committee Room 3, Leinster House.

The Committee will conduct detailed scrutiny of the Fossil Fuel Divestment Bill 2016, a Private Members Bill sponsored by Thomas Pringle TD.
The Bill is intended to precipitate a timely decarbonisation process in line with Ireland's climate change commitments under Article 2 of the Paris Agreement.

The agenda for tomorrow’s meeting:

Session A: Mr Thomas Pringle TD, Mr. Kingsmill Bond, New Energy Analyst and Trócaire Representatives

Session B: Irish Strategic Investment Fund Representatives (ISIF) and Dr. Paul Deane, Environmental Research Institute, University College Cork

Session C: Mr Michael D'Arcy T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Finance and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform with special responsibility for Financial Services and Insurance
