Committee on the Eighth Amendment to focus on social economic and health issues

The Oireachtas Committee on the Eight Amendment will focus on at its meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 November 2017.

The agenda for the meeting is:

Session A

Socioeconomic Reasons [Dr. Caitriona Henchion, Medical Director, Irish Family Planning Association]

Session B

Health care issues - Crisis Pregnancy management [Janice Donlon, HSE, Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme]

Senator Catherine Noone, Chair of the Committee said: “The Committee will continue its hearings tomorrow on the report and recommendations of the Citizens Assembly on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution. The first part of our meeting will consider socioeconomic reasons with Dr Caitriona Henchion, Medical Director of the Irish Family Planning Association, while second session will consider Health Issues in relation to Crisis Pregnancy Management with Janice Donlon, HSE, Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme.”

This meeting will take place in Committee 3 at 1.30pm on Wednesday, 15 November 2017. Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.
