The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 2 March, to discuss the Comptroller and Auditor General ‘s 2019 appropriation accounts (Vote 39) for the Office of Government Procurement.

The meeting at 1pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will hear from:

  • David Moloney, Acting Secretary General, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER);
  • Paul Quinn, Chief Procurement Officer, and David O’Brien, Principal Officer, Office of Government Procurement (OGP).

PAC Chairman Deputy Brian Stanley said: “The Office of Government Procurement was set up within DPER to integrate procurement policy, strategy and operations in one office, strengthen spend analytics and data management, and secure sustainable savings.

“The Committee looks forward to engaging with the representatives of DPER and OGP to examine the progress being made in developing common procurement processes and securing savings and value for money for taxpayers.”
