The Sub-Committee on Mental Health will discuss the impact of Covid-19 on youth mental health services and the current difficulties faced by psychologists at a meeting in Leinster House tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 July with representatives of CARE and Beat 102-103.
The meeting will take place in Committee Room 4 at 12.30pm.
Beat 102-103 CEO/Programme Director Gabrielle Cummins; Spark Market Research Associate Director Megan Reynolds; CARE’s founder Marina Dillon and CARE committee member colleagues Adam Chambers, Mark O'Flaherty and CARE PhD Researcher Siobhan Thomas will appear virtually before the Committee.
Beat recently published the study; My So Called Covid Life, conducted by research company Spark. The study looked at how young people are coping with pandemic life and their fears for the future.
CARE for Psychologists in Ireland was created to raise awareness of the current situation for Assistant Psychologists, Graduate Psychologists and those who aspire to work as Clinical/Counselling Psychologists in Ireland. It is campaigning for reform of current employment practices within the sector.
