Vol. 2 No. 41

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - MARRIED QUARTERS.

To ask the Minister for Defence whether the four houses (Married Quarters) recently built by the British War Department at the rere of Kildare Military Barracks, on the road leading from the Railway Hotel to the Standhouse, could be transferred to the Local Authority, and on what terms, so that they may be able to ease, even in a small way, the housing problem which exists in an acute form in the town of Kildare.

The houses referred to may be required in the near future for occupation by troops. A decision cannot, therefore, be taken at present on the question of making them available for civilian tenants.
