Vol. 3 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - LANE COLLECTION OF PAINTINGS

I beg to ask the President a question of which I have given him private notice: Whether he will request the British Government if they will appoint a Special Commission to inquire and report whether it was or was not Sir Hugh Lane's intention that the City of Dublin should, on his death, receive the collection of modern paintings now retained in London?

Sir Hugh Lane's intention in this matter is already well known, and requires no Commission to establish it.
