Vol. 4 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - A CASTLEBAR PRISONER.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Michael Sweeney, of Ballyvary, Castlebar, has been arrested, and is still detained in Galway Jail; whether any charges have been preferred against him; and if it is the intention to release him on the usual conditions.

Michael Sweeney was arrested on suspicion of looting. He has not been formally charged. He has signed the usual form of undertaking, and the question of his release is being considered.
