Vol. 6 No. 3

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - GLENAMADDY (GALWAY) CLAIM AGAINST MILITARY.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state why the claims made by Joseph O'Dea, of-Lake View, Glenamaddy, for commandeered cars have not yet been paid, and whether he will have the settlement of these claims expedited?

The only motor car in respect of which a claim has been made against the Army by Mr. O'Dea was commandeered on its way to him from the Connaught Cycle and Motor Works. It has been established that Mr. O'Dea did not get delivery of the car, and, therefore, a claim from him does not arise on the commandeering.
