Vol. 6 No. 18

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS ORAL ANSWERS. - KILDARE CONGESTED ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he expects shortly to be in a position to deal with the congested estates in and bordering on the Bog of Allen in Kildare and Offaly, and especially with the Tullymore Estate, Rathangan, Co. Kildare, under the Land Act, 1923; and whether he is aware that the condition of some of these holdings is appalling, and as bad in individual cases as any on the Western Coast, and to ask whether this estate will be dealt with in the near future.

There is no townland of Tullymore in Kildare, and the Commissioners are unable from the particulars given by the Deputy to identify the estate, and, therefore, cannot say whether the necessary particulars have yet been lodged by the landlord.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, may I say that the Clerks put in the wrong name. The name of the estate should be Lallymore, not Tullymore. I drew attention to it at the time, that it was Lallymore, but still it is put down as Tullymore.

We shall have the question put down correctly.

Mr. O'HIGGINS

I will convey that to the Minister.

Arising out of that answer——

There is no answer.
