Vol. 6 No. 21

PRIVATE NOTICE QUESTION. - THE BOUNDARY COMMISSION.

asked the President if he has any statement to make respecting the adjourned conference in regard to the boundaries between the jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland Government and the Free State Government.

The resumption of the conference has been delayed by the unexpected illness of Sir James Craig. The Government is in communication with the Colonial Secretary on the subject of the resumption of the conference, but I am not in a position to say more on the matter than that at present.

Has the President's attention been drawn to the statement made by the British Colonial Secretary which appears in this morning's papers, or rather which appears in one of this morning's papers, and is rather significantly deleted from two other morning papers, the statement being that they would carry out its provisions—the provisions of the Treaty— for the setting up of a Commission for the settlement of the Boundaries between the Irish Free State and the North of Ireland Government. Has he noticed that most important paragraph is omitted from the reports of two of this morning's papers, and does he know anything about that significant omission?

I am not aware of the reasons why it was omitted. As a matter of fact, I have not had time to read the full report of the three papers yet.
