Vol. 6 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLOSING OF CREAMERIES (PRE-TRUCE PERIOD.)

asked the President if he will state whether claims for actual loss caused by the closing of creameries by order of the British Military during the Black and Tan regime would now be dealt with, and what machinery, if any, exists for that purpose.

The necessity for expediting the establishment of a Court to hear cases of this kind has, as I have already stated, been brought to the notice of the British Government, with whom negotiations are still in progress. It is hoped that a definite agreement on the outstanding points at issue will soon be reached. When the final arrangements have been made, a public announcement will be issued without delay.
