Vol. 7 No. 3

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - PROGRAMME OF LEGISLATION.

Might I ask the Vice-President who, I take it, is acting for the President, if he can now give an answer to the question that was raised before the Easter adjournment regarding the intention of the Government respecting the programme of legislation, and the possible date of the summer recess; whether this matter has been gone into, and whether any decision has been arrived at?

Mr. O'HIGGINS

The matter has been very fully gone into, and rather drastic reductions in the legislative programme have been arrived at. I did not come prepared to answer this question, and I think if the Deputy repeated it to-morrow with notice to the President, he would get a satisfactory reply.
