QUESTION ON ADJOURNMENT.

I beg to give notice that on the motion for the adjournment of the Dáil I shall raise the question of distress in the West, and the need for public works.

I think I have first preference—at least I should have.

The question is decided now.

Personally I will not agree with your ruling. I hold the these men are worthy——

Deputy Lyons cannot make a speech now; he must sit down.

It is all very well to shout "order, order," but you should shout "order, order," when your lives were in danger, in place of depriving these people of a half-hour's discussion in the Dáil of their grievances.

If the Deputy had consulted me in this matter we could probably have arranged for some discussion in the Dáil.

I give timely notice now that I will raise the matter on Tuesday evening.
