Vol. 530 No. 4

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

Jack Wall

Question:

142 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons a medical card was withdrawn from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4201/01]

The granting of a medical card in an individual case is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to have this case examined, as a matter of urgency, and to report directly to the Deputy.
