Vol. 7 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - ACCOUNTS DUE BY IRISH VOLUNTEERS.

TOMÁS Mac ARTÚIR

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when it is intended to pay accounts incurred by Irish Volunteers during the term of training in the camps after the Truce, and which have been certified, and are in the Claims Office, Portobello Barracks; also, all pre-Truce accounts which have been incurred by flying columns.

The question of liability for the accounts referred to is at present under consideration. I hope to come to a decision in the near future and will then communicate with the Deputy.

Will the Minister circulate the decision to the Deputies, because it is a matter of very general interest?
