Vol. 7 No. 23

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - STRADBALLY DEPENDENTS ALLOWANCE CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received repeated applications for dependents allowance on behalf of ex-Sergeant-Major D.C. Buggie, Stradbally, Leix; if he can state the reason for the delay in dealing with same, or if he will order the immediate payment of whatever amount is due in this case.

Mr. Buggie's claim for dependents allowance was disallowed, after due investigation, on the ground that the extent to which his home depended on him for its upkeep prior to his enlistment did not amount to the minimum required by regulations, namely, 12s. per week, before an allowance might be issued.
