Vol. 7 No. 26

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - SALARY OF MEATH CO. COUNCIL SECRETARY.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state whether sanction has been given to the increase, amounting to £300 per year, in the salary of the Secretary to the Meath County Council; and, if so, if he will state the reason, seeing that this increase brings this man's salary up to £900 per year.

The proposed increase has not been sanctioned. A decision in the matter will be notified when my inquiries are completed.

Will the Minister state if it is his intention to sanction the increase?

I have already answered the Deputy.
