Vol. 8 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF MEATH ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state how many estates in County Meath have been acquired by the Land Commission for division amongst uneconomic holders and landless men; where these farms are situate, and the number of tenants who have been selected for them.

It is assumed the Deputy refers to the acquisition of untenanted lands under the Land Act, 1923. No untenanted land in County Meath has yet been vested in the Land Commission under the Act, but offers to purchase 2,363 acres have been or are about to be made by the Commissioners.
