Vol. 8 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RETURN OF SEIZED GUNS.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state what progress has been made with the Colonial Office in arranging for the return to the owners of guns, etc., which are at present in Woolwich Arsenal and Carrickfergus.

Arrangements for the transfer of the guns, etc., in question from Woolwich and Carrickfergus to this country have, I understand, been delayed by Army demobilisation and reorganisation. The British Government has now been asked to consign the arms to Dublin. It is, therefore, hoped that the guns will be available for return to their owners without much further delay.

What does the Minister mean by saying "from Carrickfergus to this country"?

"From Wool-which to this country."

But Carrickfergus is mentioned also.
