Vol. 8 No. 20

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ATHLONE PERSONAL INJURIES CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance whether a claim for £100, for personal injuries resulting from a raid by British Forces on January 1st, 1921, had been lodged with the Compensation (Ireland) Commission on behalf of Mrs. Shortall, Annagortha, Ballykeeran, Athlone; whether this claim has yet been considered by the Commission, and, if not, whether, in view of the poor circumstances and bad health of the claimant, he will expedite the hearing of the claim, so that a settlement may be reached and payment made.

The application of the person named by the Deputy has been considered by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee, who have recommended that no compensation should be paid.
