WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DEATH FROM BEATINGS—A WIDOW'S CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will expedite the hearing by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee of the claim of Mrs. Annie Carty, Carrowmore, Knock, Claremorris, for compensation in respect of the death of her husband, whose death was due to repeated beatings which he received from British Forces in the period from the 26th September, 1920, to April, 1921.

The application of the person named by the Deputy has been considered by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee, who have recommended that no compensation should be paid.
