Vol. 9 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TIPPERARY SHOOTING INQUIRY.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when the result of the inquiry into the shooting of John Joseph Murphy, at Killenaule, Co. Tipperary, on the 9th August, 1924, will be published, and if it is intended to compensate Mr. Murphy for the injury he has suffered.

Owing to pending court-martial proceedings it is not practicable to publish the result of the inquiry. The matter will be reconsidered when the proceedings have terminated. If any question of compensation arises it will be considered at the same time.
