Vol. 9 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ATHLETICS IN PHOENIX PARK.

asked the Minister for Finance whether an application has been received from the National Athletic and Cycling Association of Ireland for a plot of ground in the Phoenix Park to be used for athletic purposes, and whether any decision has been arrived at in the matter.

The promotion of legislation in relation to the Phoenix Park is pending, and in the meantime I do not see any way to submit to the Oireachtas a proposal under the State Lands Act to add to the number of enclosures in the Park.

Would the Minister be prepared to receive a deputation on the subject?

I would.
