asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether any grants have been made or are to be made by his Department towards relief work in the congested areas of West Cork and whether the claims of the Goleen and Crook-haven districts, where great poverty prevails at present, have been or will be taken into consideration.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - GRANTS FOR RELIEF WORK IN WEST CORK.
Mr. HOGAN
Special grants for works in West Cork have been provided for expenditure under the supervision of the Land Commission, and amongst the works is the making of a slip or landing place, at Goleen, which is about to be started. As the Minister for Finance pointed out, work will be provided anywhere where there is special distress as a result of the harvest.
