Vol. 9 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LAUNDRY CLAIM AGAINST ARMY (CALLAN).

asked the Minister for Defence if can state the cause of the delay in paying the claim of Margaret Connell for wages in respect of service rendered as laundress to National Troops when stationed at Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

Owing to the demobilisation of certain officers some difficulty was experienced in verifying Mrs. Connell's claim. It was, however, paid in full by cheque on the 21st October. She acknowledged receipt of the cheque on the 23rd idem.
