Vol. 9 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSIONS ARREARS.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that William Kavanagh, of Killeen, Monasterevan, had his old age pension book taken from him by the Pensions Officer when he was admitted to the County Home, Athy; that on his discharge from the Home on the 19th May, 1924, he sent in a claim for the renewal of his pension; that his claim was not returned until the 27th August, 1924; that the Athy No. 1 Sub-Committee passed his claim on the 17th September, 1924, and that up to the present Mr. Kavanagh has not received any payment, and whether he will give orders that the arrears due from the 19th May, 1924, will be paid immediately.

I am having inquiries made in this case and will communicate to the Deputy as soon as possible.
