Vol. 9 No. 25

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COMMANDEERED BEEF (BALLYSHANNON).

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received from the County Court Judge of Donegal a report dated 19th February, 1924, in favour of Mr. John Anderson, of Ballyshannon, for the sum of £13 and costs on account of beef and other goods commandeered, and if he can state when payment may be expected.

The Judge's report in this case has been received, and is at present under consideration.

Might I point out to the Minister that there is involved a question of priority in regard to some of those cases? Some cases reported on in February were paid six months ago, and some reported on at an earlier date have not yet been settled.

I would be very glad if the Deputy would give me some instances of cases that have been paid which are similar to those that have not been paid and I will furnish him with a full explanation of the difference.

I will do that.
