Vol. 9 No. 27

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CUSTOMS AND EXCISE OFFICERS' COMMISSIONS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the Commissions issued to the Officers of Customs and Excise were not in the national language of the Saorstát; whether these Commissions which are in the English language only will be withdrawn and new Commissions issued in the Irish and English languages to the officials of this Department following the precedent of the Commission issued to Army Officers?

The Commissions at present in use are in the English language only, but it is proposed to withdraw them as soon as Commissions printed in Irish and English have been approved and issued.
