Vol. 9 No. 27

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RE-MAKING OF MATTRESSES.

asked the Minister for Defence whether it is a fact that about two thousand fibre mattresses have been shipped from Cork Barracks to Glasgow for re-making, and whether there is any reason why this work should not be done in Ireland.

It is not a fact that fibre mattresses have been shipped from Cork Barracks to Glasgow for re-making.

The Deputy probably refers to fibre mattresses which were bought by a County Dublin firm at a recent sale of surplus Army stores, and which were shipped by the purchaser to Dublin on a steamer belonging to the Clyde Shipping Company.
